A terminal operator has to notify the Belgian Customs about export containers / vehicles leaving the EU when arriving at the place of exit. As a terminal you can participate to this use case to deliver the necessary info to Customs for all containers that were declared through the eDesk/eBalie.
The 'Arrival at Exit API' unburdens terminal operators to send each Arrival at Exit of an export container to Customs.
With the 'Arrival at Exit API' you get a ready to send Charge Report for Customs. Terminal operators only have to share their "gate in full" moves on the NxtPort-platform which is mapped to the requested Charge Report format.
As a terminal operator you always will be able to keep track if the Charge Report message is accepted/rejected by Customs Authorities.
Be compliant with the export control system from terminals and customs authorities on the status of the cargo declared.
Receive automatic updates on the cargo you've declared.
This NxtPort service is built to “unburden” the terminal operator from having to develop the mandatory IE507 customs message for all cargo leaving the EU. For this service, Customs is considered the Data user.
When a terminal operator shares his CODECO/gate in-messages on the NxtPort platform and the container is known in e-Desk (e-Balie), NxtPort maps this to a Charge Report and sends it to Customs. The Customs Response is visualised to the relevant terminal operator within the C-point user interface.
The data provided by terminal operators through the NxtPort platform is mapped with data available in eBalie for the listed container numbers. This information is combined and sent to customs.
In this use case, the data providers are the terminals, interested in sharing CODECO / gate-in messages through the NxtPort platform with the Belgian Customs, in order to unburden the connection between Customs and their systems.
